"Success is empty if you arrive at the finish line alone. The best reward is to get there surrounded by winners. The more winners you can bring with you - the more gratifying the victory." - Howard Schultz
On January 24, 2009, seven Niles Elite teams competed in the Michigan State Championship at Wing's Stadium in Kalamazoo.
All teams did a fantastic job, and we are very proud to be the home of a remarkable FOUR state champion teams. We brought a LOT of winners to the finish line with us this year!
Our Twinkles did an amazing routine and brought home third place.
Starlights and Shining Stars both hit incredible routines, also...the best they've ever performed!
Shooting Stars were determined to better their second place finish at regionals, and their great energy earned them first place, the title of STATE CHAMPIONS, and a guaranteed Nationals bid!
RED hit another great routine and brought the house down with their renewed showmanship. They also won their division, are STATE CHAMPIONS and have a guaranteed Nationals bid.
SILVER, a brand new level 6 team left everyone speechless with a nearly flawless routine. Who could imagine that our new kids on the block would be named STATE CHAMPIONS their very first time on the mat? Silver will attending Nationals with a guaranteed bid.
BLACK, our level 6 veterans hit a great routine (that they finished learning not even a week before), and were also crowned STATE CHAMPIONS. They'll be rounding out our Nationals representatives.
Most of all, our teams learned the truth in the Schultz quote and saw the magic that brining more winners with you to the finish line makes.
