A Record FIVE teams. Five 1st or 2nd place finishes.

2 teams UNDEFEATED...SWEEPING level 6.

The PERFECT year!

On July 25, 2009, a record five Niles Elite teams traveled to Grand Rapids, MI to compete at the 2009 Young Champions National Championship. Every team hit amazing performances, bringing home either a national title or being named runner up in their division.

Our smallest team, the Shining Stars woke up the arena with great energy in their routine (even though a couple of them fell asleep in the seats waiting to go on!). They are the first ever division 3 large team that Niles Elite has sent to Nationals and finished the season being named runner-up in a tough division.

Shining Stars took the floor determined to hit an incredibly difficult, BRAND NEW stunt sequence. They rocked their stunts and gave a stunning performance and also ended up as the runners-up.

RED was next, and they were determined to finally HIT their routine. They pulled it off when it counted, hit an incredibly difficult routine, and also were awarded a runner-up title.

Brand new SILVER took the floor with all eyes on them. Being a brand new level 6 team and being undefeated, the pressure was on. They hit one of the most difficult stunt sequences of the day and pulled off a fantastic routine. When awards were announced, they were honored to be named National Champions over some outstanding competition.

BLACK was looking absolutely GOLDEN as they stepped on the floor, determined to re-claim their title. They hit a nearly FLAWLESS routine with a number of first time skills. Showing once again they set the standard for level 6, they also were named National Champions.

This means that Niles Elite has won a record 6 National titles in level 6 alone. And we'll all be staying very warm in our brand new rhinestone jackets.
